About Bria

Bria Scudder is the Deputy Governor for Public Safety, Infrastructure, Environment, and Energy in Governor Pritzker’s administration in the State of Illinois, USA. In this office, she focuses on making progress toward safer communities, maintaining a complex transportation system and achieving clean energy goals. Before joining the Pritzker administration, Scudder served as Director of State Government Affairs for the Midwest region at AbbVie, a pharmaceutical company headquartered in North Chicago, and held the position of Senior Government and Community Liaison in the Illinois Attorney General’s Office. She also worked as a staff member for the Illinois House of Representatives and managed several state Statehouse campaigns. She is a graduate of the University of Missouri – Columbia.
